I was born in '74. I'm currently living in the Roman city of Chester, in the UK. I have a BA(hons) in Illustration.
How long have u been living there?
We moved here about 9 years ago.
Where do you get your inspiration?
Everywhere ... Music, art, TV, advertising, history, mythology & observation. The music playing in the studio can have a direct influence on the direction my artwork takes. I also like to sit and watch people and observe how they act. For a long time I stopped watching TV /news because it was always so down-beat, but it's an excellent source of inspiration for my most recent works. I do read a lot about ancient culture, I'm fascinated by their beliefs and stories, which often finds their way into my work.
What's your favourite color?
To paint with? Red is a great colour for getting an emotional response, it's hard wired into everyone of us. One of the spray paints I use is called 'Pussy pink', the school boy in my giggles whenever I use it.
When are you the most productive?
In the morning. I'm a morning person, so by mid day I'm ready for a cat-nap and by the evening things take twice as long.
Where is your favourite vacation-spot?
I've been to Canada a number of times and I really like it there.
What kind of music do you like?
Anything from Elvis to Ghostface Killah. I do like a bit of blue grass banjo.
Any exhibitions planned?
Not for this year. I ran myself ragged in 2011, so 2012 is all about the painting.
What is your favourite material to work on?
Canvas, although I do like the textures I get when painting on wood.
What are your tools? (special pens, colors etc.)
I have about 50 brushes, but use just 3 the majority of the time... paint caps, fingers, cardboard and patience.
