Anywhere and everywhere, but the journey starts in my head.

Permanent Alizarin Crimson is lush
When are you the most productive?
Early morning or late night. When there’s no one around and the world is mine.
Where is your favourite vacation-spot?
I’d love to visit Japan, but haven’t been lucky enough to do so yet.
What kind of music do you like?
All sorts. A little dance, a little hip hop, a little electro and a whole lot of Deftones. Anything with imagination, a groove and soul.
Any exhibitions planned?
I’ve got pieces in a bunch of group shows over the coming months. For CAVE’s anniversary show in LA and the “Literary Eyes” and “Vices” shows at London Miles in London.
I’m also working on a solo show for Cuadros in the UK this summer, as well as a couple of joint shows later in the year - one At Spoke Art in San Francisco in September, and London Miles at the end of the year.
What is your favourite material to work on?
Back to basics graphite and paper. I like painting, usually acrylics, and I work digitally on some pieces, but nothing beats the buzz of doodling away with a graphite stick and seeing an idea start to take shape.
What are your tools? (special pens, colors etc.)
I get through a lot of 8b graphite sticks, and I’m fully immersed in Alizarin Crimson at the moment. Often mixed with Perylene Green to varying degrees. I’m steadily building a collection of brushes that I think I might use but usually end up working with just 2 and I’ve finally got around to buying an easel. Something of a relief for the kitchen table.
