Where do you get your inspiration?
Daily Life in LA. Whether it’s a story in the news, some dysfunctional family I see walking through Kmart, the idol worship created by contemporary advertising, emulation of celebrities without the smoke and mirrors….It’s like the fat girl wearing the Britney Spears outfit. After I have an idea, it’s more of a grappling of intuitive material choices. It becomes a constant push and pull, edit, rework….find some sort of sense of communication I’m settled with.

After the sun goes down, and a healthy dose of caffeine.
Where is your favorite vacation-spot?
Mmmm….good question there are so many interesting places. But if I had to pick today….Europe.

Any exhibitions planned?
Yes, I currently have two solo shows in production for the rest of 2011. The first opening on Aug, 20th 2011 in Melbourne in conjunction with an artist in residency program at RMIT University. Second being a new show titled Down by the River taking place at Johanssen Gallery in Berlin.
What is your favorite material to work on? What are your tools? (special pens, colors etc.)
I usually work on wooden panels or various types of high quality fine art printmaking papers. As far as tools, it’s a fusion of all types of media in a single work, glitter, resin, oil, acrylic, digital collage, screen-printing, enamels, inks, etc.
